Hi 18 inch doll clothes makers!

So you’ve downloaded one of our patterns, and you need to know how to cut out your fabric, right? Of course, as you begin making your 18 inch American Girl doll clothes, you can always practice, (and even make your finished doll clothes), out of your old clothes, there should be plenty of material in any shirt, or dress, or pants, to do a nice outfit. And remember, practice makes perfect…

   Her method of cutting into the fabric to show markings probably isn’t the best for doll clothes. There isn’t a wide seam there to start with, I wouldn’t want to cut into the body of the fabric. I always cut an outward notch in the fabric instead.
