I have tried again and again to download the polo shirt and also the shinny happy dress. It seems that, as I am already suscribed, it becomes impossible to dowload those two free patterns, Too bad: I wish those two and I have already bought 6 or seven other patterns.. Would Micro Rib Knit work for this pattern? I have the pattern and it says rib knit or jersey rib knit but doesn’t mention anything about micro rib knit. I am a just beginning sewer so I don’t know anything about fabric. I was trying to buy my fabric online because I can normally find what I need easier and cheaper so I can’t test it for give. Thanks.

The tank top is very simple, I was able to make it very easily my first time sewing in years, and once you’ve done that, the t-shirt pattern available is also very easy, and comes out perfectly. You could make the t-shirt before making the tank top, but the tank top would just prepare you for it, because the t-shirt IS a bit more difficult, what with the sleeves and all. From there, you have the skills to even make the baseball shirt!!
See, there are so many possibilities once you get started!

I have really been enjoying all of the liberty jane patterns!! So far I have made 2 tank tops, which, for any beginner, are super easy and cute, 2 t-shirts, a baseball shirt, and leggings. I have loved them so much!! Thank you Cinnamon fo all this great stuff!!
Also, for anyone who is wondering, these patterns work for Maplelea dolls, too. The pants fit perfectly in my experience, and the shirts are just a bit tight at the bottom, but they look great anyways!

I’m all ready to sew the Polo shirt, but I can’t see what to do about sewing the collar to the back if, later on, I have to hem the back edges and leave them open and fastened with velcro. Does the neck edge of the back get sewn to the collar and then the rest of the back left open?
I’ve just found the pattern for the collar is two pieces so problem solved!
