Good Ship Loolipop for sure!!!! Simple yet effective design.
I do not understand…you tell your customers they cannot “sew and sell” your patterns but you don’t have any problem copying AG designs to sell to your customers…and a lot of your patterns are very very similar and some the same to doll patterns by simplicity and other well known pattern companies as well. Say one thing and do another.
Don’t get me wrong I love your website and your marketing techniques but let’s call a spade a spade.
Hi Pat,
Hopefully we can clarify it for you. First, we apologize if our sew-and-sell policy is unclear. We did change it over a year ago to encourage seamstresses to use our patterns as the basis of a sewing business. We try to state that clearly on our ‘partner with us’ pages. We also have a whole site dedicated to supporting sew-from-home sellers with tips and tools – http://www.libertyjanepartners.com. When people familiar with the 18 inch doll clothes offered by the large pattern companies use our patterns they tell us there is a huge difference – in the fit, the ease of instructions, the step-by-step photos and the overall simplicity of our guidebooks. Do we have some similar items? Sure, but you are the first person to ever tell us we are copyinig simplicity or AG too much. We are trying to offer an enormous variety of unique and compelling doll clothes designs based on current trends and historic ideas, not on other peoples work. Integrity is important to us and we’re sorry if we’ve done anything to make you question it. We are striving to have our pattern site be a unique and exciting destination. Thanks for letting us know how you feel.
