The dress design has an empire waist, is fully lined and can be made from a variety of fabrics. You can dress it up with delicate or sparkly fabrics and accessories, or keep it casual with solid colors and simple knit fabrics. Layer the dress over a cute tank top for Summer or pair it with a cropped jacket or a wool coat and leggings for Fall. There are also simple instructions to use this pattern to make a top or a longer maxi dress. This doll clothes pattern is designed for 18 inch American Girl dolls. Pattern Guidebook Details: This is a beautifully illustrated pattern guidebook that you digitally download as a pdf file so you can start sewing your new 18 inch doll dress immediately. The Adobe pdf viewer is required. You simply print out the pdf and you’re ready to start. The Guidebook provides the pattern pieces and step-by-step instructions for creating a dress, like the ones pictured, for your 18 inch American Girl Doll. *Before printing your new guidebook, ensure the ‘page scaling’ is set to ‘none’ in the print dialogue box.     Can this dress be made with normal 100% cotton fabric or does it have to be made with a knit type of fabric? I would like to make it out of plain cotton. I don’t have a very good selection of knit fabrics at my fabric store.

    This was the first Liberty Jane pattern my mom and I tried sewing, and this is DEFINITELY high up on my list of all-time-favourite-patterns!
