-velcro and thread

Step-by-Step Instructions -These full color easy to follow instructions walk you through each step in completing your American Girl ® dolls new top. The Skill Level is easy/beginner. You will need the basic understanding of how to use a sewing machine and be familiar with sewing straight seams. The raglan sleeve is perfect for a boginner because it is a straight seam, not curved or sewn in a circle. Hi, I have a question for you, Cinnamon! 🙂

Is the shirt in the new fall 2011 Tokyo Libby outfit modified from this pattern so that it doesn’t have sleeves? I LOVE that shirt, and I wanted to make it myself, but this pattern looks really similar(if I modify it so there aren’t any sleeves, that is!) and I want to know this before I decide to buy anything. It’d be great if you can reply back! 😀

I also wanted to make the same top. You can add 1 cm or 2 cm to the pattern, split it in two and then sew the top together with a piece of lace in the middle in order to make the top. The halter also has a piece of lace sewn underneath. 🙂

    Hi Cinnamon!
So I was wondering…do you need to use stretchy fabric? I have little experience with neckbands, but I feel like it really only works best if you use stretch fabric. I only have good colors for this in cotton, and I want to know before I devote my whole day to it 😀

  7. ChristinesThreads says:

Does this pattern come with a pattern to make long sleeves?

  8. Jessica says:

Hi! I really love this shirt and it will be great to start out with since it is easy. I also came up with a future idea to add to your website. You could make an outfit creator so that you can dress a doll virtually and customers could see how different patterns would look together.

  9. Gay says:

Really love the pattern. Can you tell me if the blue lace is stretch and if so where I can find it ? Thanks !

This is so cute! I have the pattern, and just bought the materials. I got black lace, with a pink knit. Can’t wait to see how it comes out!
